I am an industry research scientist currently leading the E.ON quantum computing team in finding practical use-cases of quantum computing in the energy sector.
My main areas of interest are quantum optimisation, machine learning, and error mitigation on real quantum devices.
In 2010 I received my M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics at the University of Guelph, Canada, focusing on Quantum Information. In 2014 I completed my Ph.D. at Technical University of Munich, Germany under Prof. Steffen Glaser in Quantum Computing studying open system control theory. From 2015 to 2018 I was research scientist at the German Aerospace Center in Munich. I joined E.ON in 2019.
